Gaja Gamini is a 2000 Indian film writter and directer by M. F. Husain and is his ode to womanhood and his muse of the time, Madhuri Dixit, who stars as the lead in the film with Shahrukh Khan and Naseeruddin Shah.The film was a box office disaster.

Review of the film
The movie received a favorable review from Sumnan Tarafdar of Filmfare, who described it as "not something that comes along every day".
"The film has a very colorful look, with the visuals being eye-catching," Taran Adarsh added. Hussain, however, is unable to effectively transmit his views on film as a director. Overall, Gaja Gamini is a creative movie that neither the public nor the classes would be able to comprehend. The movie is destined for failure commercially. precious celluloid was wasted.
