Raja Sen from rediff.com stated that "The film has solid, credible performances, especially by the main protagonists. Four-year-old Ehsaas is striking in the film: quiet, cuddly and with a whispered sinister innocence worthy of Damien himself. Sushmita Sen is quite a treat, very believable, and it's good to see a model finally working hard enough to deserve her acting spurs. Chakravarty is his usual restrained self, but just seems the slightest bit unlike his given 'writer' credentials. The rest are filler.The camera is the main hero of the film."
Brooke Kamishlian from letterboxd gave 2.7 star out of 5 star and stated that "The thing I didn't like about the film was the length. I found the pacing odd. This might be traditional Bolly style, I don't know, but it crept through the first hour.
Overall I enjoyed the hell out of it! The acting was awesome! The film looks beautiful! The makeup is pretty darn cool!"
