Pre-post Production :

Film Director Abhishek Sharma In an interview, on Mumbai Mirror stated that "Cricket woven into a rom-com and touching on superstition and luck." The film is based on the novel written by Anuja Chauhan. She has also written additional dialogues for the film. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan bought rights to film the movie. But since the project did not take off three years after, Red Chillies Entertainment lost the rights and in 2013, Pooja Shetty acquired the adaptation rights of The Zoya Factor. Nevertheless, Shah Rukh Khan worked as a narrator for the film.

Film Shooting :

Film Shooting started in Mumbai on 29th August, 2018. Dulquer Salmaan joined the cast from 31 August 2018. The cricket sequences were filmed at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. The movie received a U certificate from the Censor Board on 17 June 2019.

• Priyanka Sinha Jha of CNN-News18 also gave 3.5 star from 5 stating that "With its quirky premise, The Zoya Factor is light and frothy just as romcoms should be, and ticks against all boxes especially the prerequisite combo of a tall, dark and handsome hero and a good-looking yet naïve heroine."
• The Times of India critics rated 3.5 star from 5 stars by writing that "The Zoya Factor film is a fun, frothy film that pits superstitions versus strategy and self-belief versus luck. And delightfully uses India's cricket craze to deliver a thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining film".

Online website reviewer site Rediff.com critics stated that "Despite a predictable storyline, Director Raj Kanwar utilised Ajay Devgn's simmering intensity, Twinkle Khanna's sweet sophistication and Amrish Puri's towering persona to extract some engaging theatrics". Ajay Devgn and Twinkle Khanna's pairing was repeated in Itihaas, which failed to do well commercially.

Story of the Movie :

Mala(Rani Mukerji),  a young school teacher, has visionary dreams for her future. She hopes for a grand love affair, with a large, extravagant wedding and a dashing bridegroom who will arrive on a horse. One day, Mala's friend confides in her about her relationship with the son of a wealthy man, with whom has been intimate, but is now marrying someone else. Mala accompanies her friend to the man's wedding, successfully managing to disrupt it and reveal the truth. The groom's friend, Raj(Shadaab Khan), is provoke and insults Mala, in response to which she slaps him. Angry Raj seeks Mala out and, in the presence of her pupils, beats and rapes her. Maya is distraught and ashamed, getting home to her shocked family with the help of her pupils. The police get involved and Raj is arrested.

Raj's powerful father, Rai Bahadur, attempts to cover up the situation by bribing Mala's guardian Karthar Singh, who refuses to accept the money. Raj's sister and brother-in-law support Mala and defend her in the case. The judge finds Raj guilty and orders that he marry Mala in the next twenty-four hours, because her honor has been ruined and no other man would be likely willing to marry her, in her eyes. Raj unsuccessfully tries to kill Mala, and so they get married without great pomp and ceremony. After the marriage, Mala moves into Raj's home, and his family begins to treat her badly. Rai Bahadur travels abroad and instructs his family to deal with Mala and ensure that she is belittled and tortured, with the hope that she is eventually driven out of their house. Raj's elder sister-in-law Sharda is especially tough on Mala since plots for her own sister to be married to Raj, due to his wealth.

Sharda and her relatives lie to Raj about Mala, telling him that she asked them to leave the house. Raj angrily tries to beat Mala but is stopped by Kartar Singh. Raj's uncle makes plans for the couples honeymoon and promises to protect Mala, however it is revealed that he is also trying to kill her.

Raj's uncle leaves a snake in the house while Mala is having a shower. When she gets dressed, she sees the snake and faints out of fear. The men believe that she has been bitten. While he is checking on Mala, the snake bites Raj's leg. Mala awakens and saves him, however she is poisoned in the process. Raj is shocked at Mala's actions and realizes that his treatment of her was wrong. His uncle tells Raj that he should leave Mala to die, however he calls a doctor and she recovers. His attitude towards her softens and he stands up to his uncle, who tries to influence him against Mala. The couple gradually fall in love.

To take revenge, Raj's uncle and Sharda plot to kill Mala via a gas explosion in the house. Raj's sister and brother-in-law unexpectedly arrive, and his sister goes into the kitchen to light the stove, which results in her death. Rai Bahadur's arrives back in India for his daughter's funeral, where Raj and he argue about Mala. When Raj decides to leave, an altercation arises and Mala is badly wounded. Raj takes her to the hospital and she is in critical condition.

The family realises their terrible treatment of Mala, telling Rai Bahadur that they do not want to have anything to do with him. Rai Bahadur mends his ways and comes to apologise. When the police arrive to investigate the matter, Raj tries to spare his father and implicate himself, but Rai Bahadur accepts the fault. Mala regains consciousness and she saves her father-in-law by lying about the incident. After seeing Mala's kind character, she is accepted by Raj's family the couple are remarried in a grand ceremony similar to Mala's dreams.

Judaai film is a 1997 Bollywood romantic comedy-melodrama film directer is Raj Kanwar while writer/Screenplay writer are Prakash Raj, S.V. Krishna Reddy and Jainendra Jain. The film Producer is Surinder Kapoor under banner of S.K. Film Enterprises.

The film stars Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. Urmila Matondkar, Kader Khan, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Upasana Singh and Saeed Jaffrey are featured in supporting roles; while Poonam Dhillon makes a special appearance. 

The film was a remake of the 1994 Telugu film Shubhalagnam. In the film, lured by wealth, Kajal asks her husband, Raj, an honest engineer, to get married to Janhvi, the rich daughter of his boss. Little does she know about the problems that await her. After an active career of 30 years, Judaai marked Sridevi's final film appearance before she took a sabbatical of 15 years from film acting.

Judaai film is released on  28 February 1997, with posotive critics reviews and also a big success at the Box office, collected nearly 28.77 crores rs. while making cost only 6.30 crores, becoming the Tenth highest collected Bollywood film of 1997. Tom, Dick, and Harry film Sequels :

A sequel, named Tom, Dick, and Harry: Rock Again..., released in 2009. It was directed by Rahul Kapoor and starred a completely different cast altogether. The film featured the song "Mein Tere Pyar Mein" by Mika Singh which has been produced by Vikas Kohli at Fatlabs studio.

In 2016, another sequel goes into production directer is Deepak Tijori and starring Jimmy Sheirgill, Aftab Shivdasani, Sharman Joshi, Sana Khan, Pooja Chopra and Amyra Dastur.

Critics review :

The film reviews are mostly mixed from critics.

Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama gave only 1 star from 5 star and criticize the film by writing that "The choice of the story and screenplay is what acts as a major turn-off, the music is the only saving grace. Dino Morea tries hard, but in vain. His timing is just not right. Jimmy Shergill doesn't deliver either. And why is he looking pale at most times? Anuj Sawhney is excellent and is the best performer in the crowd. He's a complete natural. Celina is wasted. Kim Sharma will be loved by the commoners. Gulshan Grover is efficient as the weird don. On the whole, Tom Dick and Harry is too weak a fare to leave any impression whatsoever".

Nikhil Kumar of Apunkachoice.com called the film "Silly, childish humour, poor script and shoddy direction mark the triple whammy for Tom Dick And Harry, which is tripe of a film. The movie's director Deepak Tijori ought to know that childish buffoonery is not synonymous to comedy".
