Story of the film :
Rajbir (Gippy Grewal) and Gurpreet (Tina Ahuja) are in love and want to marry each other. The problem for them is the alimony that Rajbir has to pay every month to his ex-wife, Neha (Geeta Basra).
Gurpreet, being a lawyer, is aware that the alimony needs to be paid only till Neha remarries. Thus, starts the two lover's journey to find a suitable Boy for Rajbir's ex-wife.
Their comic journey goes through various twists and turns and finally climax at a point where Rajbir's boss, Ajit Singh (Dharmendra), gets into trouble with his wife because of his flirtatious ways.

This film reviews are mostly negative from critics, Times of India critics Renuka Vyavahare gave 2 star from 5 star and stated that "If you do not expect comedy to be too clever, you won't mind this old-school chaotic caper."
Another film Critics Suhani Singh from India today also criticized the film by writing that Second Hand Husband is a poor joke.
