Raju (Arya Babbar) and Rani (Shriya Saran) are neighbors and studying in same college. But they never settle on their differences and always fight. Rani keeps on making complains against Raju and hence his father (Kiran Karmarkar) angry his son as good-for-nothing.
However, both families have good relationship. Rani’s father (Ashok Saraf) is a police commissioner and a good friend of Raju’s father. The hatred between Raju and Rani takes an ugly turn when Rani slaps Raju during a college competition thus humiliating him.
Rani’s father is then transferred to Kodaikanal and as a friendly gesture, Raju along with his parents go to the railway station to for good wishes. Rani is surprised by this change in his behaviour and she too undergoes a change inside her heart towards Raju. The two after separating from each other realise how they actually are in love.

Music is strictly okay, although the songs have been filmed well. Arya Babbar carries off his part well. He seems to be taking a step forward with every film. Shriya Saran is a fine actress and leaves a strong impression. Ashok Saraf, Nishigandha Wad and Shoma Anand support well. On the whole, THODA TUM BADLO THODA HUM is an ordinary fare. However, lack of promotion and face-value will make the film go unnoticed."

She falls in love with Sameer(Amar Upadhyay), a photographer. While she participates in a beauty contest her college mate Taniya Khurana(Shweta Menon) becomes frustrated who has always been the runner-up in college contest.
She confides to her brother, Ajit, who assures her that Simran will be made to change her mind. Ajit makes some intimidating phone calls and even threatens her in person when she is alone, But Simran's best friend Kajal(Divya Palat) and Kajal's boyfriend Kunal(Apurva Agnihotri) support Simran. They assures her.
Simran finally takes part in the contest and becomes the winner. Simran, her friend, Kajal, along with Sameer and Kunal decide to go to Khandala to celebrate Simran's win, and when the boys go to get something to eat, Being demoralize Ajit attacks Simran and Kajal and Ajit is killed by them after a short fight.
When their respective boyfriends return, they decide not to tell anyone about the horrific incident. But Bikram(Mukesh Tiwari), close to the Malhotra family tries to blackmail those four friends that he knows everything about the Ajit's death. Police inspector Asutosh Khanna(Gulshan Grover) suspects the gang of four but he has no evidence against them.

Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama gave 1 star from 5 star and stated that "DHUND - THE FOG does not have much to offer in terms of novelty. At the box-office, it has some chances at small centres.Amar Upadhyay is ordinary,Apoorva Agnihotri gets some scope to perform towards the finale. He is alright. Both Aditi Govitrikar and Divya Palat need to work on their acting skills. Irfan does well. Prem Chopra and Gulshan Grover are as usual. Tom Alter is wasted. Mukesh Tiwari doesn't get much scope. Shweta Menon is fair.Cinematography [Gangu Ramsay] is appropriate. Editing is loose."
