Story of the film :
Simran(Aditi Govitrikar) lives in a wealthy Malhotra family with her uncle, Rajendra(Prem Chopra) after the passing away of her parents.She looks beautiful and has always won beauty pageants during her college days, and when an opportunity arises, she enters her name in a local beauty contest.
She falls in love with Sameer(Amar Upadhyay), a photographer. While she participates in a beauty contest her college mate Taniya Khurana(Shweta Menon) becomes frustrated who has always been the runner-up in college contest.
She confides to her brother, Ajit, who assures her that Simran will be made to change her mind. Ajit makes some intimidating phone calls and even threatens her in person when she is alone, But Simran's best friend Kajal(Divya Palat) and Kajal's boyfriend Kunal(Apurva Agnihotri) support Simran. They assures her.
Simran finally takes part in the contest and becomes the winner. Simran, her friend, Kajal, along with Sameer and Kunal decide to go to Khandala to celebrate Simran's win, and when the boys go to get something to eat, Being demoralize Ajit attacks Simran and Kajal and Ajit is killed by them after a short fight.
When their respective boyfriends return, they decide not to tell anyone about the horrific incident. But Bikram(Mukesh Tiwari), close to the Malhotra family tries to blackmail those four friends that he knows everything about the Ajit's death. Police inspector Asutosh Khanna(Gulshan Grover) suspects the gang of four but he has no evidence against them.

Critics reviews :
- Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama gave 1 star from 5 star and stated that "DHUND - THE FOG does not have much to offer in terms of novelty. At the box-office, it has some chances at small centres.Amar Upadhyay is ordinary,Apoorva Agnihotri gets some scope to perform towards the finale. He is alright. Both Aditi Govitrikar and Divya Palat need to work on their acting skills. Irfan does well. Prem Chopra and Gulshan Grover are as usual. Tom Alter is wasted. Mukesh Tiwari doesn't get much scope. Shweta Menon is fair.Cinematography [Gangu Ramsay] is appropriate. Editing is loose."

Gulshan Grover and Prem Chopra are wasted.Undoubtedly, the best performer in the film is Irfan Khan. And the most wasted. Dhund is neither a thriller nor a chiller. It simply fogs your mind."
