Aur Ek Prem Kahani is a 1996 Indian Hindi film directer Balu Mahendra. The film became the debut of several Southern stars, Ramesh Aravind, Sudhir Ahuja, and Heera Rajagopal.
Co-starring in the film were Revathi Menon and Akshay Anand. The film is a remake of Balu Mahendra's Kannada film Kokila.

Major Arjun Singh (Shah Rukh Khan), a honest army officer and Friend of famous Jailer Raghuvir Singh (Kiran Kumar). He is in love with Geeta (Sridevi), and they get married, and become proud parents.
Arjun soon gets involved in the bad books of a ill-famed gangster named Naagraj (Danny Denzongpa). Arjun starts working undercover in Nagraj's gang, but soon enough, Nagraj is informed about Arjun's real identity, and Arjun is brutally killed.
When Geeta finds out, she decides to revenge Arjun's death.Geeta is a lawyer by profession attempts to punish Nagraj by the law but is unable to do so. When Naagraj finds out that Geeta is out for retaliation, he mock at her, refusing to believe that a lone defenseless widow can do him any harm.
But Naagraj is in for a surprise when he comes face to face with Geeta and a group of young convicted men on the run who are dedicated to bringing him down - even if they die. She then leaves her profession and goes to the jail where she helps 5 prisoners to escape so that they can assist her in bringing Nagraj to justice.

IMDB Public reviewing site gave 4.3 star from 10 star, One reviewers stated that "The film is quite poorly made and is filled with many overdone action scenes which were quite typical at the time as well as numerous horribly-made comic sequences. The film also has an extended appearance by Shahrukh Khan to enhance its market value, but he is not given much to do with his role. Army is a Sridevi vehicle and she is excellent. First, she looks beautiful and does well in all the phases of her character, whether it's the happy wife, the traumatised widow, or the decisive avenger. The role is not as good as the role she had in Gumrah, but it's good enough and she anyway manages to rise above the film's silliness. Danny Denzongpa plays the exact caricature villain he played in many other films. The music is forgettable. I see no reason to recommend this unless you are a Sridevi fan."

Sagar is a thief, a secret not known to anyone else including his family. He uses different disguises to steal from Dhaniram Koilewala (Harish Patel) and Pascal (Goga Kapoor) . Dhaniram and Pascal go to Honda Dada (Rami Reddy ) for help.
Honda decides to help them. Meanwhile, Sagar comes across a man, Om Prakash (Mohan Joshi) who would help him to find his father. Sagar soon finds out that Om has a different plan. Honda and his men too find out who Sagar is and thus Sagar's and his family's life is at risk. How would he save himself and his family from them is the climax of the film.
