Aurat Aurat Aurat Movie shooting started in 1981-82, but got delayed and later completed in 1994. It was released in 16th February, 1996. The film was one of many of Vinod Mehra's posthumous releases as he died six years before the film's release.

Pre-Production of the film :
When the film was first started, it was titled, "Aurat" and had Reena Roy, Jeetendra,Parikshat Sahni,Bindu and Pran in the star cast. After 3 reels the film was shelved. When it was restarted, it had Rekha, Vinod Mehra and Rakesh Roshan.
Rameshwari said that after Reena Roy exited the film she signed the movie. But the producers played dirty with her and replaced her with Rekha.
This film was delayed for more than 10 years.This film started in 1981 . By the time it released in 1996, Rakesh Roshan had already retired from acting.
The song " Chotta Sa Ghar" that is used in the film, was also in the movie " Chotta Sa Ghar" starring Vivek Mushran. This was because the producer of Aurat Aurat Aurat gave the song to the producer of Chota Sa Ghar. Aurat Aurat Aurat was shelved and the song would go to waste. Since the song would suit perfectly in the Vivek Mushran film, the song was given to its producer . But Aurat Aurat Aurat ended up being released and the song was retained in the film,making both movies having the song .
The producer came to Rekha after 12 years and begged her to finish the film. Rekha refused. This is when the producer pulled out a album and assured her she looked exactly the same. Rekha admired the producer's faith and gave in .
