Story of the film:
The movie tells the story of a man named Raju, played by Jackie Shroff, who lives a simple and content life with his wife Shanti, played by Madhoo. However, things take a dramatic turn when Raju is arrested for a crime he did not commit.
The movie begins with Raju working as a mechanic in a small town in India. He is a hardworking and honest man who is devoted to his wife and family. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he is framed for a robbery and arrested by the police. Raju is unable to prove his innocence and is sentenced to prison.
While in prison, Raju meets a wealthy businessman named Jai Singh, played by Mukesh Khanna, who is also serving time. Jai Singh takes a liking to Raju and helps him get released from prison early. Raju is grateful for Jai Singh's help and starts working for him as a driver.
One day, while on a drive with Jai Singh, Raju sees a woman named Anjali, played by Aroon Bakshi, being harassed by a group of men. He intervenes and saves her from the attackers. Anjali is grateful to Raju and the two strike up a friendship.
Meanwhile, Shanti is struggling to make ends meet while Raju is in prison. She is unable to pay their bills and is forced to sell their home. Shanti is devastated and decides to leave town with her son.
Raju is heartbroken when he learns that his wife has left him. He turns to alcohol and starts neglecting his work. Jai Singh tries to help Raju and encourages him to get his life back on track.
One day, Raju meets Anjali again and learns that she is a singer. Anjali invites Raju to attend one of her concerts, and he is mesmerized by her performance. The two become closer, and Raju starts to fall in love with Anjali.
However, Jai Singh is not happy about Raju's relationship with Anjali. He warns Raju that Anjali is not who she seems and that he should stay away from her. Raju is torn between his love for Anjali and his loyalty to Jai Singh.
In the end, Raju discovers that Jai Singh is the one who framed him for the robbery. He confronts Jai Singh and a fight ensues. Raju is injured but manages to defeat Jai Singh. With Jai Singh exposed and defeated, Raju is able to clear his name and reunite with Shanti.
