Story of the film :

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Uday Dhirendra Thakur(Manoj Bajpayee), is a rogue cop, known for his relentlessness in pursuing criminals, and bringing them to justice, failing which, killing them in false encounters. 

It is this reputation that gets him transferred to crime detection, and counseling at the hands of Dr. Mehak(Nethra Raghuraman).

Then a series of murder take place, and the police feel that they are serial killings. Uday is assigned this case, and after a preliminary investigation, he knows that the suspect is author Avantika Suryavansh(Isha Koppikar), as the killer is killing his victims in the same manner as described in her book "Inteqaam: The Perfect Game". 

Avantika is a poised, sophisticated, and intelligent young woman, and is not at all intimidated by Uday, and his persuasive methods. No previous information is available about Avantika, and her background cannot be verified. 

Then Uday comes to know that her mother was in an asylum for the psychotic, and when confronted Avantika loses her poise, and reveals a character that she may have been secrete from others, including herself.

• Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama gave 1 star from 5 star and stated that "Manoj Bajpai tries hard to play the conventional hero, but fails miserably. Isha Koppikar takes you by surprise with a super-confident portrayal. However, she needs to concentrate on her dresses. Nethra Raghuraman is better this time around. Sharat Saxena provides some entertaining moments. Sushmita Mukherjee is alright.INTEQAM - THE PERFECT GAME is anything but a perfect thriller. At the box-office, the film will find difficult to remain afloat not only because it's weak in merits, but also because it has been released without a proper build-up/promotion. Below average!"
