Review of the film :
This film reviews are mostly negative from critics.
Critics reviews :
- Sharmila Taliculam from rediff.com on film reviewing stated that "Jhoot Bole... remains faithful to the Hrishida genre. I thought Amrish Puri overshadowed everyone else in the cast with his performance. Anil Kapoor is very subdued and very much like Amol Palekar in Golmaal, on whom his character is clearly based. Turning in a fine performance, Anand Milind have come up with a good score to revive their sagging reputation.Since audiences are used to the slapstick brewed by Govinda and directors like David Dhawan, I am not sure if Hrishida's magic can work its old magic at the turnstiles."
- Nandita Chowdhury from India Today writes that "Jhoot Bole Kauva Kaate in that sense carries the burden of his own legacy. And alas, it is a disappointment. The film has an old world charm but technically and artistically, the film is stuck in the '70s. The dialogues are stilted and Jal Mistry's cinematography often resembles that of a television sitcom. The song sequences are refreshing and mercifully don't resemble aerobics sessions."
- IMDB Public reviewing site have 5.7 star from 10 star.
